As Olivia,
I can indicate the complexity level of the question according to my understanding of complexity
So that mentors who feel can help with that level of question would see it

  1. Perceived complexity is very subjective as beginners especially tend to say they are beginners no matter how much they've progressed (the imposter syndrome) therefore all questions they ask they would feel are basic (note: this doesn't even stop with beginners but is very visible there). In addition, there are whole stereotypes of cultures where reading about a bit about a technology is deemed enough to be considered a professional - the opposite of the imposter syndrome. Therefore, providing a reliable indicator might be tricky. If we want to go there, asking for the mentors for feedback on whether the level set by the mentee was correct according to them might be helpful to evaluate how useful this feature is.
