The default shortcut key (Ctrl+Shift+B) does not work anymore. At some point, Firefox changed the Ctrl+Shift+B shortcut to toggle the visibility of the shortcut bar, which means Quick Tab Switch cannot use that shortcut anymore. (From a quick search, it seems this change landed in Firefox 84 back in 2020 so the default shortcut hasn't worked for 3 years.)

Personally, I use F1 for Quick Tab Switch, but IMO I don't really want to use the function keys by default.

Feedback on what key should be the new default would be appreciated!

I use Ctrl+,. Both hands stays on home row and it's easy to reach from both Ctrls. It's also compatible with most international layouts.

Not like mozilla leaves a lot of choice, insane how Firefox keybinds aren't customizable.
