Since it's closed source it's going to be harder than needed, but thankfully I have an idea, could you tell me the mod ID of that the essential mod uses?

Do you have OptiFine installed try with OptiFine installed

Because the parts of Valkyrie that are disabled with OptiFine might be the ones having issues with Essential
