Grouping and tagging - Feature Request

The option to automatically group images with people faces and other objects like animals, buildings and cars but not limited. The main thing is grouping by faces and allowing to tag similar faces with names. Then based upon previous data Automatically group new images with similar faces.

Alternative: Picasa 3d by Google (deprecated), karita (early stages). Gallery Go(Android only)

That is not a very easy feature to implement, though it may be possible to achieve with FaceRecognitionDotNet.

I'll try and have a look at it.

Thanks a lot for considering this feature request.
I made a mistake and mixed up krita with digikam.
Digikam is an open source software with option to detect faces. https://www.digikam.org/news/2020-07-19-7.0.0_release_announcement/ this post has many links.

Ratings, 👍/👎, or maybe even favorites (folders) would be super-nice even without schmancy AI face detection (which would also be nice but would probably bloat the code rather terribly).
