If I had only one comment that I'd hope every developer sees is to change from:

❌ Bad Example: Write a feature OR fix a bug, then, write a test & see it pass
✅ Good Example (fixing a bug): Write a test that goes red, mimicking the behaviour of the bug, then, fix the bug, then see the test pass. (if you change the test to make it pass, undo the bug fix & make sure it still fails!)
✅ Good Example (writing a feature): Write the feature & piece by piece write unit tests covering the branches of code that could occur. Red then green is not as important. However, it is still good to make sure a test CAN go red when it SHOULD.

TLDR; don't write false positives.
