Id like to suggest an alteration. I don't think its appropriate to discuss rates so early in the conversation. Rates do not correlate to cost. 1 hour or 1 year @ $x.xx p.h. = ??? The cost conversation too early may focus the client on a high hourly rate not the cost of the project.
