<p class="cs95E872D0"><span class="csAC3E91FA">28 May, 2024</span></p><p class="cs95E872D0"><span class="csB34F35E1">Jan de Jong (1917-2001) was een Nederlandse architect en een prominente vertegenwoordiger van de Bossche School. Hij studeerde onder Dom Hans van der Laan en werd sterk beïnvloed door diens theorieën over architectuur en verhoudingen. De Jong's werk wordt gekenmerkt door een strakke vormgeving, het gebruik van eenvoudige materialen zoals baksteen en beton, en een diepe aandacht voor de harmonieuze opbouw van ruimtes. Een van zijn bekendste werken is de Sint-Benedictusabdij in Vaals, waar hij samenwerkte met Van der Laan.
