What feature should be added to Suwayomi?

Not technically a feature, but still something I think should exist. There should be a guide in the wiki on how to set up auto-startup for the Linux .tar release.

Why/Project's Benefit/Existing Problem

The wiki briefly mentions headless server setups, but ultimately doesn't provide much information for new(er) system admins to figure out how Suwayomi-Server should work on their machine. Linux is an extremely common choice for home servers, and due the nature of Linux having many distros, there will be many use cases where simply using the .deb package isn't viable. So, I think that there should be a simple guide on how to set up auto-start on a headless Linux server in the case of the archive version. Having tried many existing run-script-at-startup tutorials myself, I have yet to find one that works, likely because the script is run too early in the bootup process. A simple explanation of how to do this would solve many headaches.

there are a couple options

  1. use Tachidesk-docker, if you are running a home server you should be using docker (or some other container system, podman, Kubernetes)
  2. the linux-x64.tar.gz has a suwayomi.server.sh that will just start the server if run. If u need to change the data directory path you can do so by following the wiki instructions to edit that sh file, every other config is editable in webui

if you don't know how to start the docker daemon or run an sh file on startup then thats something you need to look in to on your specific distro, since many distros have many different ways to do that
