Checklist

  • I am able to reproduce the bug with the latest version given here: CLICK THIS LINK.
  • I made sure that there are no existing issues - open or closed - which I could contribute my information to.
  • I have read the FAQ and my problem isn't listed.
  • I have taken the time to fill in all the required details. I understand that the bug report will be dismissed otherwise.
  • This issue contains only one bug.
  • I have read and understood the contribution guidelines.

Affected version

0.27.0

Steps to reproduce the bug

1: Go to any YouTube video
2: Play the video, and to make the bug more likely to occur, fast forward to a point later in the video
3: In some cases, after a few seconds trying to load the video content, NewPipe will display an error message, with the log giving a 403 code. It's likely to take a few attempts on different videos to recreate this error.

In some cases the error will also pop up out of the blue in the middle of a video, where playback will abruptly stop.

I'd say this happens on one in every few videos. To clear the problem on a specific video I've found I either have to clear NewPipe's cache or relaunch the app. The problem has occasionally occured for a long time but it's been becoming more common in recent days.

Expected behavior

The video should buffer/play normally without any error.

Actual behavior

Video playback will stop with the player area returning to displaying the video thumbnail (and the affected video will only play again after restarting NewPipe or clearing the cache, though other videos will play) and the app will display an error message with the code 403 in the log.
