Checklist

  • I am able to reproduce the bug with the latest version given here: CLICK THIS LINK.
  • I made sure that there are no existing issues - open or closed - which I could contribute my information to.
  • I have read the FAQ and my problem isn't listed.
  • I have taken the time to fill in all the required details. I understand that the bug report will be dismissed otherwise.
  • This issue contains only one bug.
  • I have read and understood the contribution guidelines.

Affected version

0.27.0

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Open a playlist
  2. "Play all"
  3. Wait between 2 or 10 songs

Expected behavior

Play the songs (videos) smoothly, piece by piece, uninterrupted.

Actual behavior

One of these happens:

  • The video stops.
  • The playlist closes.
  • The app closes.

If the video stops, the next will play where the previous left off (e.g.: 2:43) if the next one does not stop, close or crash.

Whether the app is open or running in the background makes no difference.

Screenshots/Screen recordings

Screenshot_20240704_133327_DuckDuckGo

The notification also says "Network error", and that the video playing is [Unknown], while it is obviously running.

Affected Android/Custom ROM version

Android 13

Affected device model

Samsung Galaxy A12

Additional information

I checked if it's a RAM or cache issue (if the system shuts it down) as it was a few years ago, but it is not.

I wonder if Google is pressuring the app? It could be a security problem.
