This happens immediately to any application that loads the @macrostrat/ui-components library.

I thought for a long time that this was just an unavoidable aspect of Babel compilation, but it seems that this is explicitly an issue with Rollup babel compilation.

We should consider using another mechanism (Parcel?) to ship this code.
