(Bug) (Maybe) file doesn't get uploaded when you log out on a different tab, but no error messages occur

When you are logged in and go to the upload page, if you log out in a different tab and reload it will send you back to the home page, but if you just proceed to try and submit the protein to the database then it will do nothing, no error message or anything, this could be considered a bug, we might want to make an error message for this, but it also feels somewhat isolated so I think it should be a low priority fix if anything.
