What's the status of this @dmurph? Is this still being worked on?

This went on the backburner a little bit, but I would like to get this released soon.

To make this work better with browsers throttling background pages, I want to simplify the API to

• Remove the 'transaction' feature
• enable batching changes
• and if it's not in there yet, allow the user to specify ranges that they are interested in.

I don't know when this would happen. Should make it much easier for other browsers to implement though. Hopefully in the next year for Chrome.
