Hello. I asked about this back in June on Matrix and have been searching for a solution since. Issue is when I remote into my work PC with Citrix, wayfire doesnt allow the remote session to use both my monitors. xorg does this fine, as well as wayland on KDE and GNOME.
I finally stumbled on a solution with sway. There I can set a key binding to toggle a full screen mode. With the remote session window focused I can toggle to global full screen mode and the remote session will expand to both monitors. It's a little clunky though. Sometimes I have to toggle a few times to get it to work correctly and then I can't switch to other work spaces until I toggle it off.
But at least i know now that it is possible to do this with a wlroots based compositor.
Would this be something wayfire could/would look to implement?
