When using the fingerprint sensor to authenticate sudo calls as decribed in https://sixcolors.com/post/2023/08/in-macos-sonoma-touch-id-for-sudo-can-survive-updates/, xcodes still asks for a password. This password can however be left empty because subsequently the fingerprint request is shown like it should:
