The .exe file is compiled for 32-bit Windows (runs on 64-bit Windows too)
The .upx.exe file is the same one, but UPX-compressed (much smaller, might take an instant more to start up and may trigger antivirus false alerts)

For Windows machines with older graphics cards or older graphics drivers with no available driver updates, try holding down SHIFT key when running the application. This will use older Graphics Device Interface (GDI) instead of DirectX on Windows and mention "(Compatibility Mode") on the titlebar of the application.

Release 0.4.1 should be more stable (I think instability was only when somebody had used the URLaction to jump from one story to another [load a .readcom url] - app could show strange errors later): https://github.com/Zoomicon/READCOM_App/releases/tag/0.4.1

the new version also allows any .readcom file to be loaded as the RootStoryItem (as a "story"). So one can save a template out of say a rabbit with its speech bubble and TextStoryItem by making the rabbit the ActiveStoryItem and right click, then saving it and if they wish they can load the template directly from the Load button of the left sidebar and just edit the template (part from using the "+" button on the right-side edit bar to add the template as a child in another StoryItem

StoryItems that have a URLaction now show a hand cursor when mouse is over them (always shown currently, even in Edit mode, note though that URLactions work only in non-Edit mode).
Also note that URLactions work always now in non-Edit mode,
in the future they may only work if the clicked item's parent is the ActiveStoryItem (haven't decided on that yet)
