No errors reported in spades.log

I would suggest you to contact conda. We do not maintain these binaries and it seems they are not compatible with WSL.

I encountered the same (or a similar) error:

• Installation from github release.
• I observed the error with version 3.15.4-3.15.5 (3.15.3 works).
• OS: Oracle Linux 9.3
• python version: 3.9.18, 3.12.2
