A new release should be created

With the breaking changes introduced recently, there is absolutely value in creating at least a 7.1 or something. I don't like using a master version as that is technically the development version (equivalent to a nightly imo). Unfortunately the 7.0 release does not render post-meta well and forced me to do so.

IMO a better solution is a 7.1 release, thoughts?
