Image loses BIG symbol #29
Comments
I'm agl@imperialviolet.org outside of GitHub. jbig2enc was designed to be part of a mixed mode compressor - i.e. non-text parts are removed from the image and separately encoded. It's reasonably robust to arbitrary images but if the connected component is larger than 9999 pixels in either dimension then it'll be dropped. That's 33 inches at 300dpi but, if you are exceeding that, then I can add an extra 9 on the end of those numbers. |
Ah! Yes that's of course the reason. I think it might be a good idea to add an additional 9 :) Thanks alot! And thanks for the awesome library! |
I use this library in one of my programs. A user of it showed me an image that loses a very big symbol when converting it to jbig2.
I would like to send you the full image, but the user does not want it to be publicly available, so I would have to do it by email. But I don't have any contact data of you.
