How best to set preserveDynamicImport when using sucrase as a ts-node transpiler

Is there any supported way to define sucrase options when using the ts-node transpiler? Or a way to define sucrase options in a config file?

Is setting the SUCRASE_OPTIONS env var the only option? And it isn't entirely clear to me if that works when using the ts-node plugin.
