Currently using phantomjs make us unable to select text into the pdf. I'm assuming phantomjs render as png.
What about using another rendering tool like pandoc ?

I think it could produce a better result, but having to install pandoc and latex separately is a big barrier to entry.

Perhaps we could have an option to choose rendering engine?

I was pretty happy with this tool until I found out about this issue. Text not being selectable/searchable is a big problem for me.

This is an issue with phantomjs on OSX..If you use Linux you will get selectable text.

ariya/phantomjs#10373

Works on Linux.

If failing on OS X, that's caused by upstream ariya/phantomjs#10373, as previously mentioned. There's a fix for even further upstream at vitallium/qtbase#2. Ask there who to throw money at.
