Trying to understand the screen reader interaction here:

The angle <span aria-ssml='{"say-as" : {"interpret-as":"characters"}}'>CAB</span> is 30 degrees.

Within that <span> would the Assistive Technology append the attribute value ("characters") to innertext "CAB"?

For example: "CAB characters."
