It is probably safe to assume that if a dependency is available in the search repository that all of its transitive dependencies should be as well, but it would be even better to actually validate the whole tree. This would be useful in cases where a product team is responsible for building a dependency that they will use in their product, so there are cascading builds that may need to be done and may have overlapping responsibilities with other product teams.
