Ansible extension for VSCode not working in Ansible for Windows workshop

Problem Summary

The Ansible extension for VSCode does not seem to be working any more. First it requires a reload and then in notifications there are many lines of "ansible-lint: Processing files..." that continues and never resolves. Status message at bottom in blue says same thing and never resolves. No linting happens any more and students can't "git push" their files.
