This is caused by the public Vercel instance being rate limited. For more information, see #1471. The best solution, for now, Is to deploy your own Vercel instance (see https://github.com/anuraghazra/github-readme-stats#deploy-on-your-own-vercel-instance). Closing this since we also track this problem in #2336.
