Currently, Superset provides excellent export options for data, including exporting to Excel and exporting pivot tables in CSV format. However, there is a significant gap: the ability to export pivot tables directly in to Excel.
This feature would be incredibly useful for many use cases, such as:
Improved Usability for Business Users: Many non-technical users prefer working in Excel and would benefit greatly from being able to interact with pivot tables in their native format.
Streamlining Workflows: Exporting pivot tables in Excel-ready format would save time and effort for analysts who currently recreate the formatting manually after a CSV export.
Would it be possible to consider implementing this feature in a future release? I believe it could enhance Superset's usability and adoption across a broader user base.
Thank you for your consideration, and I’d be happy to contribute to the discussion or provide additional context if needed!
