Serious lagging after iOS12 update

@archagon hi, there is a serious lagging on keyboard after iOS 12 update. Could you plz check it? Try typing fast. Even not very fast is needed just do your regular typing you will see. Sometimes keys is not pressed even though you press on it so it misses some letters during typing.

We have identified that the issue is because with iOS 12 pressing the space between two keys will no longer activate the key that is closer to the touch, i.e., the keypress would have to fall inside the button for a letter/character to be activated. However we have not been able to come up with a fix.
