The Arduino BLE library reference summary of BLE Characteristics does not include the String Characteristic which was added to the library 6 years ago.

Thanks for your report @cattledogGH. This issue tracker is only used for tracking tasks related to the Arduino Language Reference content that is hosted in this repository. So I will close this as off topic.

Issues related to the library reference must be submitted to the issue tracker for the library. I submitted an issue to the ArduinoBLE library repository on your behalf: arduino-libraries/ArduinoBLE#349 so the deficiency will be effectively tracked.
