How to catch botocore.errorfactory errors?

I have this simplified test code:

DATABASE_NAME = 'dev_data'
TABLE_NAME    = 'dev_devices'

    SELECT udid
    FROM {DATABASE_NAME}.{TABLE_NAME}
    ORDER BY udid DESC
    LIMIT 1
    """

print(f"Querying: {query}...", flush=True)

try:
    records_df = awswrangler.timestream.query(query)
    # Throws: botocore.errorfactory.ValidationException
except botocore.errorfactory.ValidationException:
    # Throws: AttributeError: module 'botocore.errorfactory' has no attribute 'ValidationException'
    records_df = pd.DataFrame()

How can I properly catch the botocore.errorfactory.ValidationException error?

I am still looking for some help on this. Here is the beset that I have been able to come up with:

from botocore.exceptions import ClientError
...
try:
    response = list(awswrangler.dynamodb.execute_statement(query))[0]
except ClientError as e:
    if e.response['Error']['Code'] == 'ResourceNotFoundException':
        raise Exception("ResourceNotFoundException: Table may not exist.\n") from e
    raise

Is this the best way to catch botocore exceptions when using awswrangler? @jaidisido, @kukushking, @LeonLuttenberger?
