Issue description

heroic and games installed within it load very slowly.

Detailed reproduction steps

systems:heroic [Batocera.linux - Wiki]

I installed heroic from flatpak following the instructions on the above page.

In heroic, I also installed into the breach.

When I was using batocera version 39, heroic loaded quickly when I started it, and into the breach loaded quickly when I started it.

But after I updated batocera version to 40, heroic and into the breach became very slow to load.

Once I reverted back to version 39 the issue went away.
