Controls are mapped incorrectly in latest v40 for Anbernic RG353v (2). Some buttons do not register when attempting to remap and changes are lost after reboot #12344

Issue description

Controls are mapped incorrectly in latest v40 for Anbernic RG353v. After attempting to remap the controls R1,R2 do not register, right analogue up does not register in emulationstation.After a reboot changes are not persistent and controls go back to incorrect mapping.

Detailed reproduction steps

Burned new anbernic-rgxx3 - 40 2024/08/11 15:30 to new sd card using balena etcher. System boots with controls mapped wrong. Redid mapping in emulationstation but some buttons do not register when pushed After rebooting the controls go back to incorrect state.

messed with controller mapping. After unsuccessful attempts, reverted to June beta release

After further investigation, it looks like the data partition was not being recognized. I tried formatting using the system settings however that did not work. This was a clean install on a freshly formatted sd card. This may also be the reason why creating a support file did not work. I ended up formatting the partition to exfat. Now changes are saved properly. L1/L2 are still not recognized in ES but work in emulators
