Corned Silverside

Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg silverside
  • 1.5 cup vinegar
  • 4 Tb brown sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 Tb whole peppercorns
  • water to cover

Extras

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 bay leaves
  • onion

Method

  1. Boil 2-4hr or 1.5-2hr in pressure cooker with quick release
  2. Let sit in the warm water ~30m
  3. If fork goes in easy, its ready

Notes

Throw in half onions, chunky carrots, spud, cabbage 1hr before finished for a meal
