Looks like if you send the URL just as Thanks to @hunterjm for figuring this out! |

Is anyone sending the video clip with IOS attachments to the HA Companion app?
This is what I'm doing right now, and it's working:
Generate the path to the clip with the camera and event id:
/api/frigate/clips/CAMERANAME-EVENTID.mp4
Request a signed path (https://developers.home-assistant.io/docs/auth_api/#signed-paths) via websocket:
{"type":"auth/sign_path", "path":"/api/frigate/clips/CAMERANAME-EVENTID.mp4", "expires":300}
Take the returned
path
and send it in a IOS notification, prefacing it with thehttps://
path to the HA instance:{ data: {'message': 'A person is in the CAMERANAME', data: { attachment: { 'url': path } } } };
This works, but is there a easier way? The HA companion app documentation states:
https://companion.home-assistant.io/docs/notifications/notification-attachments#supported-media-types
I tried looking around for the right path, but wasn't able to find it. Everything I tested was returned 401.
Tried various variations of this:
https://HAINSTANCE/media/frigate/clips/garage-1612462712.964938-ztdnk8.mp4
