Expert Team on WIS2 Development Programme

Terms of Reference

  1. Develop a training program to support Members in the implementation of WIS2

  2. Develop a competency framework for WIS2

  3. Contribute to the implementation of WIS 2.0 (in accordance with Resolution 57 Cg-18) with a focus on addressing the needs of all WMO Regional Associations and Programmes

  4. Work with Regional Associations and Programmes to support the successful implementation of WIS 2.0 using proven change management practices,

  5. Ensure that the requirements from all Regional Associations and Programmes are satisfied according to WIS 2.0 Technical Regulations and WIS Implementation Approach.

  6. Organize regular feedback from Members from all Regional Associations and Programmes(on WIS and its evolution),

  7. Support Regional Associations and Programmes, with a particular focus on least developed countries and small islands developing states, in the transition towards WIS 2.0 by e.g. contributing to training programs, organization of workshops,

  8. Contribute and facilitate the active participation of Members from all Regional Associations and Programmes in WIS 2.0 related projects,

  9. Support the GISCs to ensure successful implementation of WIS in their area of responsibility.
