It would be nice to have this implemented in the add-on. Not sure how it will be done directly in the add-on using Pillow or using an external API like http://pictaculous.com/api

It is easy to get colors from each pixel in an image loaded inside Blender. Will use this system to create a palette

Using large resolution images results in a lot of processing time if every pixel, hence the image will be resized to something around 30px. This would result in only dominant colors of the image which can be further analyzed.

Probably not the best way right now, but I could think of this only to get palette in the client machine
