Can’t connect to remote directory with code

• I have blink installed on my iPad
• I have ssh enabled on a raspberry pi 5
• I can ssh from blink to the pi
• The pi has VS code with the following extensions
  *. * remote SSH
  *. * blink-fs
• The pi also has code server running
• I have a directory on the pi called $HOME/me/project,
• The pi's hostname is pi-5-dev

So , if I understand the instructions correctly, I should be able to , in the blink shell, enter

Code pi-5-dev:/users/me/project

And code will open the remote directory. It does not. Code opens, when I try to open a folder, it forces a remote folder (fine) but nothing makes sense to me to connect to my little device

Please explain like I'm 5 how to fix this ;-)
