Current Linux-dependencies are suffice if you also install the SDL one (despite libesd0 no longer being available - and so you also need to adjust the sdl.mod-modules to not use libesd).

Yet official docs do not mention "libx11-dev" to be installed for "base".

Maybe move "libx11-dev" from "sdl" to "base".
