Notify_email syntax problem

Hello,
I am using Apprise inside the changedetection.io tool and I wasn't able to find the correct syntax to send a mail with my account hosted in versio.nl.
3 things that make my case specific I believe:
--user: foo@bar.com (contains @)
--smtp: mail.axc.nl:465 (not the standard 587 port)
--I need to also add the receiving e-mail address ('?to=' didn't work)

Usually 465 is ssl where as 587 is starttls
Try:

• mailtos://mail.axc.nl:465?mode=ssl&user=foo@bar.com&pass=yourpw

edit: switched mailto:// to mailtos://

Yes this syntax worked, thank you. My bad with the SSL/Starttls.
Now my wording is as such:
mailto://mail.axc.nl:465?mode=ssl&user=foo@bar.com&pass=my_pass&to=someone@bar.com&from=foo@bar.com

and debug shows all parameters are correctly parsed. Yet I still cannot send due to this error:

WARNING - A Connection error occurred sending Email notification to mail.axc.nl.
DEBUG - Socket Exception: Connection unexpectedly closed: timed out

I tried with the Python smtp library and that worked:

msg = EmailMessage()
msg['From'] = 'foo@bar.com'
msg['To'] = 'someone@bar.com'
msg['Subject'] = str(subject)
msg.set_content(str(content))

server = smtplib.SMTP_SSL('mail.axc.nl', port=465)
server.login('foo@bar.com', 'my_pass')
server.send_message(msg)
server.quit()

You're so close!

mailtos:// (for secure connections); but what i could do is if someone explicitly sets the mode= that a secure mode is implied. I can update Apprise to handle this in the future.

(this is my fault as my example used mailto://)

Addressed this very thing here #774 ; will perfect it a bit more and you will see it in the Next Apprise Release. For now keep using the URL you are (that works 😉 )
