Is there an existing issue outlining your problem?

  • I have searched the existing issues and they do not solve my problem.

Describe the issue.

As described, we should use pathlib for its better DX/API, and cross platform capabilities, should we want it to work on windows.

I can confirm purly building, with no changes other then #226 works as expected.
