1. Download Python
a. Python can be downloaded and installed several ways, but BCPy2000 is currently highly dependent on Python version and package versions. I had success with Python 2.6, and Jez is/was working on 2.7, but a more robust solution is forthcoming and therefore it is not worth struggling to get Python 2.6 or Python 2.7 working with BCPy2000 right now.
b. Thus, your best/only bet is to download Jez's "Full Monty" http://bci2000.org/downloads/BCPy2000/Download.html
2. Install Python
a. From the Full Monty download, extract the folder named FullMonty254-20110710 as a sister directory to your BCI2000 production folder.
- C:\BCI2000\prod
- C:\BCI2000\FullMonty254-20110710
3. Put the BCPy2000 framework files into your Python installation.
a. Open a command-prompt.
b. Check the PYTHONHOME environment variable.
i. Type "SET PYTHONHOME" and hit enter to see if that variable is set.
ii. If not, then set it now. e.g.,
SET PYTHONHOME=C:\BCI2000\FullMonty254-20110710\App
c. Check that python is on the path.
i. where python.exe
ii. If it cannot find it, then do SET PATH=C:\BCI2000\FullMonty254-20110710\App;%PATH%
d. cd C:\BCI2000\dev\trunk\src\contrib\BCPy200\framework
e. python setup.py install
4. Test it out!
a. Run C:\BCI2000\prod\batch\PythonDemo1_Triangle.bat
