Unable catch errors while creating textinput based wizad

I am currently trying to create a utility similar to wget --mirror using a text input-based wizard to collect details from the user to obtain a website URL to mirror from the user as part of the wizard.

I want to raise an error whenever a user inputs an incorrect URL. But, somehow, the view function doesn't produce or render the error message to the screen. I would be grateful if you could resolve the mistake I am making here in the text input model. Thanks.
