Charge Multiple

Loliiiii edited this page Dec 1, 2019 · 22 revisions

The Charge Multiple inherits all characteristics of the standard Option. It is considered a direct upgrade from the standard Option. Compared to the Regular Options, they are violet in color, having the same palette as the Falchion β from Gradius Gaiden. They also have a special ability that can be activated by holding down the Option Action Key.

The Charge Multiple will enter a charging phase upon holding down the Option Action Key. The longer the key is held down, the more energy it will charge. The Charge Multiples cannot duplicate projectiles when they are charging. When the hotkey is released, they will discharge into a Multiple Missile towards the mouse cursor and automatically pursue towards hostile entities, prioritizing those who are closest from the Charge Multiple. When the Charge Multiple turns into a Multiple Missile, the host will lose the accessory from their equipment. Having more energy charged results into a longer duration of the Multiple Missile attack sequence. After the Multiple Missile expires, it will turn back into an item that can be picked up by a player.

The Multiple Missile has the same damage as the currently held weapon when it is being charged and released. Their charging phase also has a cap. The Charge Multiple will emit orange particles if they are fully charged.

Crafting

The Charge Multiples are separated into a total of 4 accessories. Unlike other upgraded Option types, it is not possible to combine them.

Origin

Charge Multiples is a name made up by the developers of this mod. They are originally seen in Salamander 2. In that game, they are still called Options despite having a new ability to be charged the same way as the current implementation of the Charge Multiple.
