Distant client-server hangs when switching networks

Not sure what happened yet, but when I traveled from an airport wifi to an airplane wifi to an office wifi, a connected client was no longer responsive. No logs to check, but wondering if the TCP connection is hanging instead of failing. Need to check if the heartbeat (or lack thereof) would kill a connection if hanging.
