I think @jspaaks mentioned "flashy" at some point. At least something to think about.

I quite like the way the CSL website looks, and they're using the same Jekyll theme I think, could perhaps "borrow" some ideas there. And incidentally, I was thinking of creating a similar logo as well (actually before I've seen theirs, honest).
