Tentative Timeline
Since we’re unsure if GSoC will be offered in 2025, here’s a rough timeline based on prior years. Sit tight for now, and look out for updates by March 2025.
Our 2025 Focus Areas
If we participate, we plan to work with 2-4 GSoC contributors, supported by a team of 4-10 mentors with varied skills and backgrounds. We encourage applications from women and PWD contributors. Here are some of the project themes we’re considering:

About Google Summer of Code
GSoC is a global, online initiative that introduces students and new contributors to open-source projects. Contributors work on well-defined coding projects with guidance from experienced mentors over a 12+ week period, all supported by Google.
What contributors gain: A stipend, hands-on mentorship, and the chance to make a real impact in open-source!
Interested in Mentoring?
We’re always eager to bring on new mentors who can support our GSoC contributors. If you have prior experience in GSoC or mentoring in open-source projects, please consider joining us by filling this form! Mentors play an essential role in helping contributors succeed and make lasting contributions to the community.
