Cannot start meshlab with XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland #1478

Same issue here running on Ubuntu 22.04 and 24.04 after upgrade. |
Does this happen with the latest version of MeshLab (2023.12)? It does work as expected on my Ubuntu 24.04 with wayland (using flatpak version). |

Starting meshlab on debian stable (bookworm) results in the error message (in a dialog box):
This is Meshlab version
MeshLab_64bit_fp v2020.09
running as a normal user on x86_64 in form of an Intel Alder Lake CPU with integrated Iris Xe Graphics.running meshlab like
works fine.
If I compile the current main branch (a748adc) this error message does not appear, but the opengl view port is filling with content from other windows and flickers. Running with
XDG_SESSION_TYPE
