There appears to be a 30 second delay between when troop carriers arrive at a star and when they get attacked by fighters. If a player is diligent enough and see it land they don't need to send any fighters and still take out the colony. I understand that the player that lost that star could easily get it back but this tactic could still be useful to slow active players. If the player is inactive it makes it super cheap to clear out large empires. This one is probably easy to fix which is nice.
