Customize theme

First of all, I congratulate you on your work.

I would appreciate if you could tell me if there is a simple way to edit the css to further customize the theme.

In versions prior to 68, the files were in the profile folder, but now it seems, the whole topic is contained within the addon with an xpi extension.

Hi @vilo1968,
You can edit the files of this repository, create a zip file and install the zip file as an addon in Thunderbird. Remember that the zip file should contains the theme files in the root (background.js, manifest.json, etc...).

I'll echo what @vilo1968 wrote: Congratulations on creating a great theme.

I, too, am trying to even further customize the theme, mainly so I can better tutor myself in theme creation, but can't seem to change the tab bar/folder list background color; that is, the only property I can find matching that color—#494844—is in root.css, but changing that value and repacking everything doesn't change anything.

I hope you can point me in the right direction... I truly appreciate the help.
