We don't have any existing functional testing for clients connecting to Sync Gateway over SSL, either with or without a load balancer. This is a very common deployment, and has the potential for unexpected issues, particularly around continuous changes w/ heartbeat.

Tests in particular should cover:

  • Enabling SSL on Sync Gateway, running continuous pull replication
  • Enabling SSL on load balancer, running continuous pull replication
