Since we need also the scripts for Dl2 and Dl3 production and this will another quite huge PR, I created this branch (and related PR on master) to be used as a 'new master' on which we can add scripts, fixes and so on through PRs on a PR (hopefully this way revision and tests should be easier wrt the previous PR and the entropy of the code won't increase too much)
